A Productive Day
Today was a big day in the Keevy household. "Plant the Garden" day. We were out there by 8:30 and working hard. It was fun to have the kids working along side of us. This is the first year where they can really help out. I think we are going to have a great harvest. Looking forward to fresh salsa, new potatoes, and corn on the cob. Yummie!!
Beginnings
This is the begining of our gigantic garden. By the end of the day, we had planted: tomatoes, peppers, red cabbage, broccoli (i don't know how to spell that), onions, spinach, cucumbers, beans, potatoes, corn, squash, cantalope, and pumpkins. I might have left something out. We are tending the raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and wild strawberries. Cheyne has taken on the grapes as a personal project this year. The vines are 15 years old, but have never produced. Maybe under Cheyne tender hand they will beging to thrive. I will keep you posted.
Isaac, the grounds keeper
I think he wears the helmet just in case daddy comes running out of nowhere and says, "Isaac, quick!! To the motorcycle!! Let's RIDE!!" It has never happened before, but luck favors the prepared.
Finished Product
This is what it looks like. Hopefully, by the end of the summer, we won't be able to see any of the plastic.

Monkey Business
On the cruise, they hang these things up in your room while you are out having fun. Isn't he cute?!!! and the towel monkey is cute too.
Pacific Northwest
Jeff Foxworthy once said that you know that you are from the Pacific Northwest if when it warms up to 60 degrees you put on your shorts and sandles but leave on your coat and socks. Yup, we are genuine pacific northwesterners!! It was a beautiful day today. Really it was our first taste of summer. I sent them outside after breakfast and they were just estatic about all of the new bugs that were out and about. Around lunch time, we headed off to Fish Lake. They really enjoyed the water. Then after dinner, daddy took them for a ride on the quad. It was a great day.
Andrew at the Lake
Andrew didn't like wearing wet clothes, so as soon as we stripped him down to his skivies, he was a happy camper.
